"We’ve been filled with great treasure for one purpose: to be spilled.”
~ Yoko Ono
Overwhelmed can be one of the most solitary of emotions. And, these challenges we feel? We actually believe that there are none other on this planet that could have ever known this type of fear, of pain...of unsettledness in our circumstances.
We tuck away inside the comforts of our very own loneliness, and seek comfort in these shadows that exist only within our soul.
And in doing so, we create this impenetrable fortress around our being.
When, in fact, and...if we were only to pause and reflect, we might realize...that in any given moment there are millions throughout this planet that are experiencing precisely the same.
And, they, my dears...feel this same sense of solitary, too...
It's when we are able understand this connection with others, that suddenly overwhelmed doesn't seem quite so 'big.'
It's this kinship - that removes our sense of being alone.
So you see, even in our darkest of hours - and when we are sitting with our backs to the wall, and feeling so desperately alone....my dears, there is always someone else out there, sitting just as you are...in contemplation of this great big overwhelmed.
And this, my dears...my most beautiful friends...is the greatest gift that humanity has ever known.
That we are not ever here alone.
Namaste
