“A further sign of health is that we don't become undone by fear and trembling, but we take it as a message that it's time to stop struggling and look directly at what's threatening us.”
~ Pema Chödrön, The Places that Scare You
You are here....and, my dears, you are just exactly and always where you are most meant to be.
And, even on those days when life's challenges may leave you weary ~ trust, that there is always a greater purpose to this most unpleasant unsettling.
We humans are a curious sort, now aren't we? Always looking for our way through, instead...in this endless loop of forever being caught up in our heads.
That we often miss the thing that matters most of all...in this moment, the gift of now.
So, stop struggling so very much with it...open up, and lean in just a little ways...
Because, my dears, in doing so ~ you just might find a little extra piece of amazing in this day.
“It is possible to move through the drama of our lives without believing so earnestly in the character that we play. That we take ourselves so seriously, that we are so absurdly important in our own minds, is a problem for us. We feel justified in being annoyed with everything. We feel justified in denigrating ourselves or in feeling that we are more clever than other people. Self-importance hurts us, limiting us to the narrow world of our likes and dislikes. We end up bored to death with ourselves and our world. We end up never satisfied.”
