“A human being is part of the whole, called by us "universe," limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest - a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.
Our task must be to free ourselves from our prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all humanity and the whole of nature in its beauty."
~Albert Einstein
The Hopi Indians have a most wonderful belief. You see, they believe that all of the world's religions each contain a single spiritual thread ~ whose ends are inexplicably drawn towards one another, in a desperate search for one human family.
And, when it is that these threads are finally joined together, it shall form a rope strong enough to pull all of humanity from even its darkest hour.
I like to think that we're all connected in just this way - bound by Compassion's spirit, and intricately woven into Hope's delicate tapestry.
My dears, have you ever simply wondered over our true purpose here? Or the many millions of moments that led these two paths into one?
And, did you not ever once to consider that all challenges are intended for a much higher purpose?
My dears, all that you are and might ever be is seamlessly integrated into this moment now. Your thoughts...your actions....your manner of being.
And, all that it takes is one single act of loving-kindness to resonate a much greater change.
So, what is your choice on this day? Will you sit idly back and watching from the side window...or, will you take a risk and engage the rest of humanity in your dream for a much better world?
One moment...one choice....one single action...this is the promise of one single thread.
